Brea’s replies to the inquires you may have
ATTENDANCE
Q. Is it required that we attend the bi-weekly Ceremonial Practice sessions live?
We need everyone to show up live, to the best of our ability. Being there is everything. It’s what plants the seeds for real connection, vulnerability, and space for true transformation.
This being said, we know how life goes, right? Sometimes it’s just not possible to make it. Looking at the calendar, as long as you foresee yourself able to be there live for most of the sessions, you’ll be fine. Missing one or two is okay (please just let me know ahead of time). If you need to miss more than that, let’s talk before you register.
Q. Will the ceremonial sessions be recorded?
Our sessions will be only partially recorded. The recording will be solely of the practice, and only Brea’s screen; None of the heart shares or discussion will be recorded. These will be available to you as downloadable videos to support your home practice.
1:1 ALIGNMENT CALLS WITH BREA
Q. What are these like?
Ah yes, one of my favorite parts of this offering—the chance for us to connect just you and me. These are 30-minute Zoom calls and you can book your own sessions, up to three within the six-month frame. Arrive to our private space via the link I send you and bring your intention in your heart; we’ll sit down and talk a bit. Ask questions, bring concerns, share your heart. You may just get my listening ear, fully in my witness practice; or you may receive a personal set of medicine Qigong forms for you to get to know on your own.
Q. How often can I book an alignment call?
Each practitioner has an allotment of three 1:1 sessions with me, spaced out at your discretion, throughout the six months of our group mentorship. If you need more time with me after your three, you always have access to me via WhatsApp where you can send me a text, voice note, or video.
Q. Am I required to book at all?
Nope! This is an entirely optional aspect of Nectar & Pollen and it’s completely up to you whether you book a session with me.
I will, however, encourage everyone to book at least one session with me, especially during the first month or two. This will help us feel more connected in the group space. But there’s no wrong in not taking this option if you don’t feel it.
Q. What if I can’t find any 1:1 time slots that work for me?
If the 1:1 openings available consistently aren’t matching your calendar’s free spots, reach out to me and we’ll see what we can do. If there’s just no way around a mismatch for our schedules, then we can chat via WhatsApp or the video chat app I love, Marco Polo.
WHATSAPP GROUP
Q. What can I expect from this group messaging thread?
All triumphs, tribulations, helpful resources, raw shares, and lighthearted banter is welcome here. This space is for sharing with each other in between sessions, to facilitate real relationships, stay connected, and hold each other accountable to personal practice goals.
In groups like these I love when we all put out an emoji symbol (in our case, the honeybee of course) to let everyone know you practiced that day. It inspires us all to practice, too, and keeps us accountable to our practice resolve.
Q. Do I have to join the group message thread? Is my participation there required?
Believe me, I’m the Queen Bee of getting annoyed with group texts. But only when I’m not into the group. If you really don’t want to be a part of the message group, you’re free to decline the invitation. 100% fine, no judgments.
If it’s simply that you’re not into the idea, you might want to examine that and see what’s underneath it. If you feel like it would be good for you to give it a try despite your aversion, remember you can always “mute” the conversation and the thread won’t give you notifications every time someone responds.
I’ll also be dropping in here to let you know what I’m practicing on my own. It’s my place to share little secret recommendations, insights, new form combinations, and old forms with whom I’ve reunited.
This is THE place to get the inside scoop. If there’s any news I have to share, y’all get to know it first— before an email goes out, before I post to IG, sometimes before I even get it onto the website. Y’all will be the first to hear.
EXCHANGE
Q. How do I pay?
Choose the link to register from any place on the website, or from HERE ;)
On this page you’ll see the Nectar & Pollen offering, and underneath it will be two options from which to choose your contribution amount. You’ll need to choose to “Add to your appointment” either the deposit amount or the tuition amount in full.
A. If you wish to pay in full, you can choose that option from this page and continue with the enrollment process. There are also a couple other payment options, which you can read about in the next Q.
B. If you’d like to set up a payment plan, you’ll choose to “add to your appointment” the deposit amount and click through from there. This non-refundable deposit is also your first payment for Month 1. Once you get your confirmation email, you’ll find a few different payment options from which to choose in order to create a payment plan via MoonClerk.
Q. Can I pay the tuition all at once?
Yes you can, and you’ll save money if you do. The total is discounted by $48, and also includes no processing fees, which saves you an additional $12-24.
If you’re paying in one lump sum, you can do any of these ways:
1) When you enroll via Acuity Scheduling— for how to do this, read my reply to the above Q.
*2) Through the MoonClerk links sent to you in your enrollment confirmation email, or
*3) Via Venmo @BreaFisherQuanYin . Once you get your confirmation email you’ll find your total there.
*4) Via PayPal to brea@quanyingongfu.com . Again, you’ll find your total in your enrollment confirmation email.
*Choosing these two options makes more steps for you, but is fairly simple. You’d simply choose neither dollar amount to “add to your appointment,” and just click through, choosing your time zone, etc. You can still enroll without paying anything, but you’ll need to send payment as soon as you’ve completed enrollment.
Q. Can I pay my tuition in bi-weekly increments?
Yep! This option is available, and you’ll see it offered in the enrollment confirmation email. Just keep in mind there’s a $2 processing fee for each payment, so choosing the Monthly Plan will save you about $12 in total.
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Q. What if I need to cancel my participation in the mentorship?
We’re allowing cancellations before 6 Aug 2023, for people who have unavoidable circumstances that suddenly prevent them from attending the sessions. Keep in mind that your initial payment to get you enrolled is a non-refundable deposit.
If you need to leave the group after it has begun, then we need to have a heart to heart talk about it 1:1. Decisions on how to handle our exchange will be agreed between the two of us should it come to that. Acceptable reasons for cancellation are outlined in our Mentorship Contract.
SCHOLARSHIP
Q. I really want to apply for the scholarship, but I’ve received scholarships for past offerings in this community. Can I apply or should I give someone else the opportunity?
This question actually comes up often. My answer is always: Apply.
Sometimes I don’t get any applications at all because people have a sense that they’re taking the spot away from someone else. Let me decide that. Apply and give yourself the chance. You deserve it, no matter what has transpired between us in the past.
The deadline for all Scholarships, including Sliding Scale applications, is 24Jul2023 and results will be posted by 31Jul.
